The Herkimer diamond is a double pointed Quartz Crystal. Herkimers are ones of the rarest variety rock crystals (quartz) and also the purest occurring only in the county of Herkimer, New York. The crystals are in the form they were extracted, they have not been cut. It also has a small petroleum inclusions that are fluorescent in UV light.
